Sleeves

Change to MC and working in Reverse Fisherman’s Rib, inc 1 st at beg and end of every 4th row 4 (4, 4, 7, 7) times, then every 6th row 7 (8, 8, 6, 6) times — 60 (62, 64, 66, 68) sts.

Work even until sleeve measures 16½" (16½", 17", 17", 17½").

Shape Cap
BO 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows, then BO 3 sts at beg of following 2 rows.

Dec 1 st at beg and end of next 3 rows, then dec 1 st at beg and end of every other row until 20 sts rem.

BO 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows.

BO rem 12 sts.

Buttonhole Band

With RS facing, using CC, pick up and K 66 (66, 68, 68, 70) sts along right front edge.

Button Band

With RS facing, using CC, pick up and K 66 (66, 68, 68, 70) sts, along left front edge. Work 7 rows in Seed St. BO off in pattern.

Finishing

Sew shoulder seams.

Collar
Using CC, with WS facing, pick up and K 5 sts along top of button band, 29 (30, 31, 32, 33) sts along left front, 27 (27, 29, 29, 31) sts along back, 29 (30, 31, 32, 33) sts along right front, 5 along top of buttonhole band — 95 (97, 101, 103, 107) sts. Working in Seed St, BO 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows.

Continue in Seed St for 2½", or desired length, then BO loosely in pattern.
Sew sleeves to armholes. Sew side and sleeve seams. Weave in ends. Attach buttons opposite buttonholes.

This jacket starts with several small pieces knit separately, then joined together. The pieces look very similar. Mark each piece as you make it by pinning a paper label to your knitting.
